The Jordan Hotels Association and the American Chamber of Commerce have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for strategic cooperation, aimed at enhancing the promotion of Jordan’s hotel and hospitality sector in U.S. markets, expanding investment opportunities, and increasing the international presence of the Jordanian hotel sector through the Association’s representatives on the Board of the Jordan Tourism Board.
The MoU outlines joint recommendations for implementation in U.S. markets, including organizing B2B networking events and trade missions, exchanging market information, and developing training programs that contribute to improving service quality, strengthening sustainability, and enhancing the marketing capacities of Jordanian hotel establishments. It also encompasses encouraging foreign investment and fostering partnerships and joint ventures within the hospitality sector.
In this context, former Senator Eng. Abdul Hakim Mahmoud Al-Hindi, Chairman of the Jordan Hotels Association, stated that this agreement marks an important step toward strengthening the international standing of Jordan’s hotel sector and opening new avenues for collaboration with American investors and companies, thereby supporting the national economy and creating additional job opportunities in the tourism sector.
For his part, Dr. Tarek Al-Hassan, Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce, emphasized that this strategic partnership aims to bolster economic and tourism ties between Jordan and the United States. He affirmed the Council’s commitment to promoting Jordan’s hotel sector through U.S. commercial platforms and organizing events that foster cooperation and investment in this vital industry.
This partnership, endorsed by the Board Members of the Jordan Hotels Association, represents a strategic step toward supporting Jordan’s hotel sector and enhancing its competitiveness, thereby contributing to strengthening Jordan’s image as a safe and attractive global destination.
